Orthopedic/Sports Medicine Seminars

Back to Seminars       Oral Surgery

OroGen Bio Sciences has developed a series of seminars for the practicing sports medicine, pain management and general orthopedic physicians to learn and understand the complex mechanisms of wound repair and regenerative medicine.

Orthobiologics is a process that utilizes available technology to enhance and facilitate the natural cascade of wound repair in the human body. Through ultrasound visualization and guidance, we plan to share our experience with growth factor and cytokine injections. This new modality is becoming the hot topic at medical meetings and publications worldwide.

Our seminars will include a thorough didactic presentation with multiple case studies. The participants will learn the efficacy of this type of treatment regimen and have an opportunity to have "hands on" experience with volunteer patients suffering from sports related and chronic orthopedic injuries. In addition we will provide a separate clinical training on the processing techniques we have developed while incorporating this process in over 28,000 procedures. We recommend bringing along to the seminar a current staff member that can learn this technical process.

We will provide an expert presentation on reimbursement strategies so that you may immediately incorporate this profitable addition to your practice.

Seminars will be given bi-monthly and will be reserved on a first come, first serve basis. Upon completion, the participant should be able to identify the types of injuries and pathology that are non responsive to current conservative therapy and will most likely benefit from growth factor therapy. He should be able to effectively utilize ultrasound to diagnose and identify lesions and guide the application and injection of platelet rich plasma to these lesions. He will have a thorough understanding of current billing procedures used for reimbursement and either he or his staff member will be able to effectively process whole blood to the highest therapeutic concentration available.
